Cassiopeia (TVXQ)

Cassiopeia is the official Korean fan club name of the Korean singing group, TVXQ (동방신기). Its counterpart in Japan is BigEast. Cassiopeia is the biggest and largest fan club in Korea, with over 800,000 supporters. Members go to their concerts, give the band members birthday gifts and cheer them with red balloons which signifies passion. The fan club was formed on April 23, 2006. With their fan base, they created a fandom revolving around TVXQ.

Cassiopeia was listed in the 2008 ‘Guinness Book of Records’ because 106,000 people enrolled in the club only two days.[1] These people made a club name VIEW (Volunteer In Everlasting Wcassiopeia) and went to help poor people. They volunteered to help sick people and supporting students who want to be famous singers like TVXQ. Also, many international fans are a part of Cassiopeia, including Americans, Australians, Filipinos [2], Chinese, and Japanese [3] fans.
